A statement from our Chairman

As previously announced, this evening (1st May 2022) the Executive Committee of the Association met to discuss recent matters.

Prior to the meeting, I received a letter from Crispin Blunt stating that he will not be seeking re-selection as the Association’s parliamentary candidate at the next general election.

The Executive Committee accepts Crispin’s statement that he will not seek reselection and acknowledges his 25 years of service to the constituency

Consequently, a new parliamentary candidate will be selected.

Dr Ben Mearns
