An update on Gatton Park Road from Cllr Natalie Bramhall

Good news for Gatton Park Road!

As one of the main roads connecting Redhill and Reigate, Gatton Park Road has many hundreds of cars travelling on it every day particularly in the vicinity of houses and flats, and we have all seen vehicles speeding along it.

I am really pleased, that after much work and support from local residents, there are proposals to extend the 30mph zone and to add traffic calming measures

What’s being proposed?

There are two different measures being proposed:

  • An extension to the 30 mph zone so traffic is at 30 mph for longer around the junction with Colesmead Road.
  • Introduction of speed tables and cushions along Gatton Park Road from the junction with the A23 to just after Colesmead Road.

With these changes implemented, this should reduce the speeding outside of your residential properties, an as well as reducing the likelihood of damage to parked cars, garden walls and potential injury to residents.

How can you help?

I’d love to hear your views on the changes proposed, if you’d like to get in touch about this or anything else, email me at [email protected] or call me on 07778 564 124.

You can see more details of the proposals in the documents below
